Subscription Services
Playing Card Subscription Boxes
Monthly subscriptions are rising in popularity for just about any product out there whether that's pet supplies, beauty products, fresh and frozen meals, and even playing cards! As of now, there aren't a lot of services offered for playing card decks to be shipped to you every month, but as this hobby continues to rise in popularity, I expect more sellers will offer this as an option as demand gives way. This post will cover two subscription boxes that are currently being offered by PlayingCardDecks.com and Kings Wild Project.
Pip Box Club Subscription by PlayingCardDecks.com
The Pip Box Club Subscription is a monthly service that will send you brand new decks of playing card decks either for $32.99/monthly or $52.99/monthly. The total value of the cards you will receive in the mail will be equal to either $30 (3 decks included) or $50 (6 decks included -- 2 of each deck). A lot of people are drawn to sales labeled "mystery deck" as you won't know exactly what deck you're getting in the mail, but you might be receiving decks you would never have found yourself if you're shopping online. The best part of the Pip Box Subscription Box is that they're sending some of the latest decks that could possibly appreciate in value over time. Furthermore, two of the decks are printed by USPCC which carries a wide variety of beautiful Cardistry decks. You must sign up for this subscription each month in order to receive your decks.
The only downside to the Pip Box Subscription is that you don't actually know what decks you'll be getting, and they could be duplicates of what you already have. Sure, you can always sell those duplicate decks, however, listing fees on eBay, Mercari, OfferUp, and other sites will surely take away from your net profit unless you up the listing price to make up for losses. Given that one of the decks will be Bicycle, it may even be harder to sell as these are easy decks to come by. The Big Blind Box may have some potential, however, as they'll send two of each deck, so you could hold onto one deck that may rise in popularity and price over time.
The good news is that the reviews look pretty promising as many customers are satisfied with what is included in their box. Also, one thing I really love about PlayingCardDecks.com is that they have interest-free installments in conjunction with Afterpay in which you can pay later for these products. Yet, I would not suggestion this option for those who are on a strict budget or just getting the hang of money management as you need to pay close attention to your personal finances.
Please be sure to visit the websites that are included below each option for more details!

Kings Wild Subscriptions
The Kings Wild Subscription Services is a really great option for both new seasoned playing card collectors. Kings Wild Project offers FIVE different subscription services that will fit to just about any budget or demand. It's important to note that there WILL BE SHIPPING COSTS and TAXES included. So the price that you see at the top is only the value of the deck/s.
Below I will go over each subscription service individually...
Standard Edition - Kings Wild Shorts Subscription -- $12.00 USD:

Link to Standard Edition
The Standard Edition Shorts Subscription will go for $12.00 per month in which you will receive one deck but does NOT including shipping and taxes. You can opt for this subscription where you try it out once or every month for a year... meaning that you will receive these decks every month unless you cancel your subscription. This is, in my opinion, a bit more convenient than the Pip Box subscription as you don't have to continue to re-order the monthly box if you like what you're getting. The decks you get are going to, obviously, be standard, worth no more than $12. If you aren't extremely picky about the "hype decks", as our community calls them, this may be a good option for you.
Limited Edition - Kings Wild Shorts Subscription -- $30.00 USD

Link to Limited Edition
In this Limited Edition subscription, you'll receive one deck of more "exclusive" playing cards for a monthly cost of $30.00. Again, you cancel at any time or go through with all twelve months. This is a pretty nice option for those who are looking to expand upon their limited edition collection and are seasoned collectors. Those who are especially drawn to Kings Wild Project decks are probably going to love this option as the decks are always very unique and thoughtful. The Limited Edition is also sealed and numbered, if I might add.
Gilded Edition - Kings Wild Shorts Subscription -- $45.00 USD

Link to Gilded Edition
If you really love gilded playing cards, here's a subscription where you'll get all the most beautiful gilded decks that Kings Wild has to offer. The monthly price is a bit more expensive than the Limited Edition price, yet a lot of collectors are especially drawn to gilded decks as they appear more luxurious and "elite", shall I say. If you really have a flexible budget for this subscription, then I say go for it. These will also be sealed and numbered, as with the Limited Edition offer.
Gilded Edition - Kings Wild Table Players (Vol. 3 May & Vol. 4 July) -- $45.00 USD

Link to Gilded Edition Table Players
If you're really into luxury playing cards, allow me to introduce you to this top-notch subscription. The Gilded Edition Table Players by Kings Wild still only includes one deck, however you will be receiving the court cards with letter-pressed tuck cases. These are truly stunning and classy decks... yet they come at a relatively high cost of $45 per deck. If you're used to spending this much on maybe three or four decks, I would redirect you back to the Standard Edition subscription. Although, if you're already spending over $100 on decks per month, you might want to consider working this into your budget.
Summary...
Now that I've covered these two subscriptions services, I hope that you have a little bit better idea of what these subscriptions entail. I don't have any particular preference about one service over the other -- I think that each collector has their own preferences when it comes to how they buy their card decks and at what cost... or even what kinds of cards they want. All in all, a lot of people argue that you might as well just buy your decks individually on whatever monthly budget you have to save costs on shipping or look for mystery decks on eBay and other market places. However, I do think the monthly box subscriptions are interesting and worth a try if you want a new surprise in the mail!
